The Legacy Begins

Aviation pioneer Chris Stoltzfus forms Chris D. Stoltzfus and Associates. It operates through 1981, focusing on crop spraying and other agricultural aviation applications.

Chris bought the first DC-3 later purchased by K&K Aircraft

The company is founded

Karl and Ken Stoltzfus, Chris’s sons, establish K&K Aircraft, Inc. The company was founded as a small aircraft parts business and aluminum smelting operation, and later purchased a fleet of Beechcraft BE-18s and Douglas DC-3s for wide-area aerial application missions.

1967

K&K purchases first Aircraft

KVBW Purchased

K&K Aircraft purchases Bridgewater Air Park and builds Hangar 1

1974

K&K Aircraft begin aerial application

K&K Aircraft begins flying wide-area aerial application across the U.S. by spraying for gypsy moths over a suburb of Detroit.

1980

1st sterile insect release flights take place

K&K Aircraft begins flying wide-area aerial application across the U.S. by spraying for gypsy moths over a suburb of Detroit.

1992

fleet is expanded

The company purchases the U.S. Army’s fleet of 124 non-pressurized Beechcraft BE-90s, enabling us to broaden our scope of operations significantly.

1996

dynamic aviation takes flight

Dynamic Aviation was formed by Karl and his son Michael in 1997. Subsequently, K&K Aircraft was consolidated into Dynamic Aviation operations.

1997

aerial firefighting commences

The company begins providing attack and low-level planes for aerial firefighting. We’ve been supporting the U.S. Forest Service in fighting wildfires ever since.

1998

company enters the airborne data acquisition market

Company starts providing Airborne Data Acquisition (ADA) services to government and commercial customers. We’ve now flown ADA missions in more than 30 countries.

1999

1st isr flight occurs

Dynamic Aviation outfits its first aircraft for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR). We have since forged a reputation as an industry leader in COCO/GOCO ISR solutions.
